PCM81 CONTROL / PURCHASE INFORMATION

Your purchase, updates and data.

Full is a one-time purchase for two simultaneous activations, with lifetime updates and seven-day refunds. The current price appears on the product page and at checkout. For purchase or privacy questions, email info@cass.app.

Updated October 18, 2026.

Checkout and tax

PCM81 Control is sold through Link, with Stripe acting as merchant of record for Managed Payments purchases. Stripe handles payment processing, applicable sales tax and VAT, receipts and transaction support. Cassandra Corsmeier provides the software, licensing, updates and product support.

Prices are in USD. Applicable sales tax or VAT is added at checkout. You may be offered a local-currency price; review the final amount before paying.

Choose personal or business use before checkout so the purchase uses the appropriate tax category. The software, base price and license rights are the same for both.

Digital delivery

After a successful Stripe Checkout payment, your confirmation page shows an activation code and the Full download link. A purchase email delivers the same code and link. Keep that email so you can download future versions.

Full includes the standalone app, AU and VST3 for macOS 15 or later on Apple silicon and Intel, plus the standalone app and VST3 for Windows 10 x64 or later. Choose your platform on the purchase confirmation page. Free is available separately as a macOS and Windows x64 standalone app, with no bundled presets. A physical PCM81 and a MIDI interface that passes SysEx in both directions are required to control the hardware. See the quick start before installing.

If payment is still processing, access follows payment confirmation. If you were charged and cannot find your purchase, contact support using your purchase email or receipt. Do not send card numbers or activation codes.

Seven-day refunds

You can request a full refund within seven calendar days of purchase. Email info@cass.app with the email used at checkout or your receipt so the purchase can be located.

A full refund cancels that purchase's license and download eligibility. The refund is processed through Stripe back to the original payment method. Your bank determines when the credit appears.

This refund offer does not limit any rights provided by applicable law or Stripe’s Managed Payments buyer protections. For a purchase sold through Link, you can also request transaction support through your Link receipt. Stripe may issue refunds under its own policies, including in certain cases within 60 days of purchase.

One purchase and lifetime updates

All future PCM81 Control updates are included for life at no additional charge. Get the current Full release by entering your existing paid or comp code privately on the download page. Your original purchase download link remains valid while the license is eligible.

Eligible demo users can use the same download page with their existing demo code. Downloading an update does not consume an activation or start, extend or restart a demo. A revoked license or expired demo cannot receive Full downloads. Quit PCM81 Control and all DAW hosts before replacing installed files; see the update instructions.

One license covers two active computers across macOS and Windows. The standalone app and installed plug-in formats share the activation on a computer. Use Deactivate this computer in the License panel while online before moving an activation to another computer.

Online activation issues a license valid offline for 90 days. The app renews its validation when online; there is no recurring charge or subscription. If the license expires while you are offline, reconnect and refresh it. See the activation instructions.

Fourteen-day Full demo

The Full demo requires email verification and no card. It allows one computer for fourteen days from the first successful activation. Activate a requested code within seven days. There is no automatic purchase, charge or subscription when the demo ends.

The demo validates online at each new launch and every fifteen minutes, with at most one hour offline after a successful check. The fixed deadline cannot be restarted by reinstalling, deactivating or requesting another code. One demo is allowed per email and computer. If a check cannot be completed, the lease expires, or the demo is revoked, new advanced manual editing locks. Existing sessions, audio pass-through, automation, preset recall and export continue to work.

2026 launch offer

Full is USD 50 for checkouts opened from October 20, 2026 at midnight Pacific through November 30, 2026. New checkouts return to the regular USD 75 price at December 1, 2026, 12:00 am PST. A checkout opened during the offer has one hour to complete payment at its quoted price. The checkout total confirms the price before payment.

Purchase and license data

This section covers the PCM81 Control purchase, licensing and update services.

  • Purchase records: checkout email, payment references, subtotal, tax, total, currency, personal/business-use selection, purchase date and fulfilment/refund status are used to deliver the product, provide updates and support, and verify purchase eligibility.
  • Activation records: an installation public key, computer label and activation/renewal status identify each activated installation and enforce the two-computer limit. The private installation key remains on your computer.
  • Demo records: your email is used in memory to send the verification email through Resend; the demo database stores a keyed hash rather than the email address. Demo activation records include the installation public key, computer label, fixed deadline and validation status. The app hashes the computer's platform identifier before sending a fingerprint; the raw identifier is not sent. The server applies another product-specific keyed hash before storage. These email and computer hashes are retained indefinitely to prevent repeat demos, including after the demo expires or is deactivated. Verification and abuse-prevention records also retain hashed request IP addresses, challenge-token hashes and request dates; there is currently no automatic deletion schedule for those records.
  • Service requests: activation and update requests pass through Cloudflare. Servers receive ordinary request information such as IP addresses. The update checker requests the feed for your edition.
  • Update downloads: the private download page checks your existing activation code and uses a short-lived secure session cookie. The cookie is required for Full downloads, expires after fifteen minutes and is checked against current license or demo eligibility. Keep your code private and enter it only on the official download page.
  • Audio and patches: licensing and update checks do not upload your audio or patch contents. The editor works locally, and hardware editing is sent to your PCM81 over MIDI.

Stripe and Link handle checkout, payment processing, tax calculation, receipts and transaction support for Managed Payments purchases. Full card numbers are not stored in the licensing database. Resend processes email addresses and delivers purchase and demo-verification email under its own data-retention practices. Cloudflare hosts the website and licensing service, stores purchase/activation records and release files, and provides website traffic analytics.

Purchase and licensing records are retained to provide license management, lifetime updates, refund handling and purchase support. Email info@cass.app to ask about access, correction or deletion. Removing purchase or activation records may affect the ability to provide those services.

Product support

For setup, activation, billing or refund help, email info@cass.app. Include your app, operating system and DAW versions, plug-in format, MIDI interface and the exact error when relevant. Keep private purchase links and activation codes out of support messages.
